“It means, ‘Remember that you must die, remember that you must live,’” says Ehren, the composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer better known as SoDown. “That’s what this new album is all about.”

Recorded at Ehren’s own studio in Denver, Worlds Beyond marks the highly anticipated full-length debut from SoDown, who more than delivers on the promise of his early work with this bold, adventurous collection. Corey Smith developed a passion for music at a young age. After graduating from the University of Georgia, he worked briefly as a high school teacher before turning his focus full-time to music. Smith launched his music career independently, building a grassroots following through relentless touring and self-released albums.

His debut album, Undertones (2003), introduced fans to his honest, storytelling style and themes rooted in Southern life, personal reflection, and working-class values. As the scion of one of the Islands’ esteemed surfing families, McNamara’s earliest experiences came baptized by the power of the ocean. Music was meditative; a release. It felt good for the socially anxious musician reared on the reggae poetry of Bob Marley and the psychedelic majesty of Jimi Hendrix. He collaborated with local reggae group, The Late Ones, filming an impromptu take of his original, “Jam With You,” and posted the fledgling video on YouTube.

ABOUT JOE SAMBA: Joe Samba is a rising force in the reggae rock world. Bombargo is a Canadian based international touring band that drops a vibrant splash of soul over their distinctive ‘vintage-pop’ sound. Veteran singer/songwriter Edwin McCain had his major-label breakout in the mid-’90s with Honor Among Thieves. McCain became a Top 40 “Radio Star” with chart-topping singles and soundtrack success with the songs “I’ll Be” and “I Could Not Ask For More”.
