Jet 22 was formed around 2000 and performed until about 2010, focusing on current rock music with touches of classic, southern, and funk styles. The band released two original CDs in 2004 and opened for acts like Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Blue Öyster Cult, Cravin’ Melon, Better Than Ezra, Marshall Tucker Band, and Molly Hatchet. Members included Rob McGee (bass guitar/vocals), Marion Eason (drummer), David Smith (rhythm guitar/lead/vocals), David Peterson (guitar/lead singer), Russ Clark (lead/rhythm guitar/vocals), and Walt Metts (lead guitar). In 2022, the band reformed as Jet 22 Refueled, adding lead guitarist Brook Ashman, who had performed with Boyz II Men and The Clovers, among others. The previous lead guitarist, Walt Metts, sadly passed away but is not forgotten. Today, the band plays a mix of rock, country, blues, and funk, covering artists like 3 Doors Down, Nickelback, Luke Bryan, Bush, Tom Petty, Fuel, Journey, Bad Company, Post Malone, 7 Mary 3, Free, Jelly Roll, Doobie Brothers, Theory of a Deadman, and more, while regularly adding new and popular songs. Current members include Rob McGee (bass guitar/vocals), Marion Eason (drummer), Dave Smith (rhythm/lead/vocals), Brook Ashman (lead guitar), and David Peterson (lead singer).
