KDTU has electrified audiences around the world for over 25 years from the fields of Naeba in Japan at the infamous Fuji Rock Festival to the hallowed stage of Madison Square Garden where they previously joined the Dave Matthews Band and The Godfather of Soul, James Brown. From performing as Sexual Chocolate (Karl was in the original band in the movie Coming To America and its sequel) at the Outside Lands Music festival in San Francisco, to being the first late night act at the inaugural Bonnaroo festival, KDTU have been a dominating force in music for the past 25 years. All-night, sold-out concerts during Jazzfest in New Orleans have featured sit ins by everyone from Lenny Kravitz & Steve Winwood (with whom Karl has recorded and toured) to avant grade luminaries Marc Ribot & Boyfriend. Chuck Leavell and Bernard Fowler (Karl’s bandmates in The Rolling Stones where Karl replaced the great Bobby Keys as saxophonist in 2014) have joined onstage and on record, as have Lukas Nelson, John Oates, Michael Franti, Warren Haynes, Ivan Neville, Anders Osborne, Big Daddy Kane, Roy Hargrove, Maceo Parker, Fred Wesley, Joshua Redman, Marcus King, and Bernie Worrell, among others. Touring the country with the Allman Brothers, My Morning Jacket, D'Angelo, The Roots, Public Enemy, Bob Weir of The Grateful Dead, Parliament Funkadelic, Slightly Stoopid, Widespread Panic, very few concert goers have been untouched by the Tiny Universe live. In addition to KDTU, Karl Denson aka “Diesel” is a founding member of the seminal groove act The Greyboy Allstars.

About Duck: In 2016, 3 friends started playing weekend jam sessions together and Duck was formed in Raleigh, NC. As the word spread about this funky, soulful, bluesy band, those jam sessions transferred into writing original music. Duck began booking gigs at venues around North Carolina, making crowds boogie to their upbeat sound. In 2021, with the addition of Donnie Tyree on vocals, Duck found their groove both performing and writing originals with a solid assembly of talent: Donnie Tyree on vocals, Mike Swartz on guitar, Chuck Rhew on keys, Chris Holloway on bass and Fred Dees on drums and electric washboard. Opening for talent like Neal Francis and Daniel Donato, and releasing their inaugural EP, MOVES, the band has solidified a loyal fanbase throughout North Carolina.

The Wheeland Brothers are Southern California surfers who grew up where the concrete meets the sand. Few bands stick around for thirty years. Even fewer bands leave a legacy during that time that marks them as an exceptional, once-in-lifetime type band. And no band has done all that and had as much fun as Leftover Salmon. From their earliest days as a forward-thinking, progressive bluegrass band who had the guts to add drums to the mix and who was unafraid to stir in any number of highly combustible styles into their ever-evolving sound, to their role as a pioneer of the modern jam band scene, to their current status as elder-statesmen of the scene who cast a huge influential shadow over every festival they play, Leftover Salmon has been a crucial link in keeping alive the traditional music of the past while at the same time pushing that sound forward with their own weirdly, unique style. Into The Fog is a psychedelic jamgrass band from Raleigh, North Carolina that combines timeless songwriting with progressive instrumentation and tight harmonies. The group consists of Winston Mitchell (mandolin), Derek Lane (upright bass), and Connor Kozlosky (guitar), with everyone contributing on vocals. The band’s members have varied musical backgrounds that range from bluegrass to funk, which helps create Into the Fog’s genre-jumping sound. The band has released two studio albums and two live records, with a third studio on the way in August 2024. Live shows are a keystone of the Into The Fog experience, as the band expands songs to highlight their instrumental prowess and push the boundaries of the newgrass sound. Into The Fog has shared the stage with the likes of Sam Bush, Keller & The Keels, Town Mountain, Daniel Donato, Arkansauce, Shadowgrass, Big Richard, and The Grass Is Dead. The band is set to level up in 2024, with bigger headlining shows and a new album in the works.

Perpetual Groove was founded in Savannah, GA, in 1997 before relocating in 2005 to Athens, Georgia, a town long renowned for its thriving music scene. PGroove comprises 1904 and current members: Brock Butler on guitar and lead vocals; Adam Perry on bass guitar; and Matthew McDonald on keyboards and vocals.

Drummer Albert Suttle joined the band in 2001 but has announced his departure culminating with this year’s NYE show. Darren Stanley will replace him on drums (Jimmy Herring, Col. Bruce Hampton). PGroove, a band categorized by fans as “Trance Arena Rock,” is an amalgamation of rock and indie electronica, with a touch of metal thrown in for good measure. With their intelligent light show and experimental stage setup, PGroove continues to create a cultivated, unique experience for each live show. Since their inception, the band has toured the U.S., and performed in Japan and Amsterdam, and Jam Cruise. In 2013, PGroove went on 2-year hiatus but caught everyone by surprise in 2015 when they returned to the stage. In 2019, they released a new recording, the eponymous Perpetual Groove, delighting fans with a new sound by the reinvigorated group. PGroove's latest release, “C’mon. Covers?” EP was recorded at Chase Park Transduction (R.E.M, Drive-By Truckers, Bettye Lavette) in Athens and included songs by Peter Gabriel, The Cars, The Go-Go's, and Johnny Cash. Jason produced Kingsland (Band of Horses, Belle and Sebastian). The recording ensemble included Butler, Perry, McDonald, and Stanley. October 11, 2024- doors at 6:00 pm!

Andy Falco & Travis Book (Of The Infamous Stringdusters) Play Jerry Garcia Andy Falco and Travis Book are both members of the Grammy award winning bluegrass band The Infamous Stringdusters. Inspired by their love of the music of Jerry Garcia, the duo branches off on their own for occasional tours to celebrate Garcia’s timeless songs. “The project originated back stage at ‘Dusters shows where Travis and I would typically warm up with some fun Jerry songs” Falco explains. “At some point we just thought it would be fun to do it in public”

They draw from Garcia’s solo material, his Grateful Dead catalogue as well as the Traditional songs Jerry loved to play. “Performing this music as a duo allows us to explore the songs and jam in a way that’s unique to playing as a Duo” Says Book. “We typically hear these songs in larger ensembles, but the songs done with just bass and guitar somehow make the music very interactive with the audience. It’s really a testament to the quality of the songwriting, and we like to put a spotlight on that aspect of Jerry.”

Runaway Gin Presents: A Halloween Phishstory | Join us for a spooky night of Phish jams featuring immersive projections.

With over 500 shows performed since its inception in 2014, Runaway Gin is the World’s Most Notable Phish Tribute Project. They have been voted the Best Phish Tribute in the World two years in a row and 2022 Charleston Jam Band of the Year. On July 4th, 2015, after the second show of the Grateful Dead GD50 run, Runaway Gin sold out the Hard Rock Cafe in Chicago and catapulting them from a Southeastern regional act onto the National scene. The band has also made numerous festival appearances including Rooster Walk Music and Arts Festival, Resonance Music and Arts Festival, the Woodlands Music and Arts Festival, Nextival (headliner), Hidden in the Hollow Festival and has headlined top national venues such as: the Norva, the National, Jannus Live, and the Georgia Theater.

The members of Runaway Gin have united with the goal of creating musical moments inspired by Phish. The band's song list is constantly growing and their improvisational and communication skills are constantly developing independently and together.
