Larry Keel is an award-winning innovative flat-picking guitarist and singer/songwriter hailing from Appalachia and currently residing in historic Lexington, VA. Raised in a musical family steeped in the mountain culture of the region, Keel began from an early age to forge a distinctive sound, taking bluegrass and classic country music and infusing those styles with a rock edge and elements of improvisational jazz.

With the acoustic guitar Keel has brought the flat-picking form to its highest level of sophistication and sonic power with his muscular yet refined style of playing. As a songwriter with a catalog of nearly 100 original compositions, Keel integrates raw honesty and charming grit to create music filled with reality, imagination, imagery and vibe. He has appeared on over 20 albums, 12 of which he produced, and has written songs that have been recorded and performed by distinguished artists including Grammy-award winners Del McCoury and The Infamous Stringdusters.

Jon Reep is a nationally touring comedian whose contemporary country point of view has won over legions of fans in comedy clubs, on tv and in film. As a stand-up he’s built a following through his hilarious comedy specials and winning appearance on Last Comic Standing.

As an actor, he’s known for his performances in Eastbound and Down, has appeared in the Tig Notaro series One Mississippi, Black-Ish, and may be best known as “Raymus, the pot smoking farmer” from Harold and Kumar: Escape From Guantanamo Bay or as “Hemi Guy” from Dodge’s popular ad campaign. Chrome Horse: A Bob Dylan Tribute is coming to Bowstring Wilmington on January 2, 2025! Join us for a night of your favorite Dylan tunes to celebrate the recent release of Searchlight Pictures' "A Complete Unknown," releasing on Christmas Day. The band will be playing tunes from the film's soundtrack & more.

Chrome Horse is bringing it all back home—Drew Gabbert, Texas-based veteran musician, has set the table and is serving up an authentic Dylan experience with a repertoire that spans six decades of material.

Gabbert offers up a mysterious ability to embody the many voices of Dylan with accuracy and reverence – as if singing through a hall of mirrors. Close your eyes and you’ll be thoughtfully carried through the young man in old man’s clothes, drifting past the country croon, and held firmly by the elder statesman. These eras with their ancient muses are captured by Gabbert fluently.

Cowboy Mouth is coming to Bowstring Wilmington on January 30th!

Cowboy Mouth formed in 1990 and have perfected their wonderfully rambunctious style over the band’s three decades together. Much like gumbo, the famous dish of their hometown, the New Orleans-born Cowboy Mouth uses a potent blend of musical ingredients - rock, blues, punk, funk, country, pop, soul and whatever else feels good – to create their bodacious, kickass tunes. Frontman, drummer, and co-founder Fred LeBlanc has asserted “if The Neville Brothers and The Clash had a baby, it would be Cowboy Mouth." His description not only reflects the group’s amazing diverse sound, but it also conveys the fire and commitment they bring to their music.

The phrase “Cowboy Mouth” typically is defined as “one with a loud and raucous voice,” and the term fits the band too.
